To All BCHS Alumni,

As you may or may not know, the BCHS Alumni Association has 2 main activities a year.  One is called the Spring Reunion and it falls each year in April and the other is called the Fall Reunion and it falls each year on the Saturday of the OLPH Fair in Belle Chasse.  Though these get togethers are called reunions, a short time of the day is scheduled for a meeting to discuss Alumni business.

Elections are held at the Fall Reunion each year.  Alumnus can live anywhere and still serve on the Board.  With e-mail, IM, Text, etc…, Board members can be in contacted on any matters.  But if you plan to run for the Board it would help if you could make the two mandatory meetings a year.  There are also several committees and plenty of other duties in the Alumni that you can help with.  

There is also a Class Representative Committee for each graduating class to have a voice.  Individual classes may or may not wish to have their own agendas, etc…  Among other matters, this committee will help the individual classes with their individual class reunions.  

Dues are for an annual year which runs from January 1 to December 31. These dues go toward an annual Alumni Scholarship to a Senior; for the domain name & web site; and for printing & mailings.  Everyone who pays dues will be considered a Contributing Member.  For those who don’t pay dues, they will be considered an Associate or an Educator Member.  If you are an Associate or Educator Member and attend any Alumni functions, it will cost you a little more to attend Alumni events, so that’s something to think about.  (See Alumni By-Laws membership classifications).  An application is linked on this site.
